The three positions
Where you sit today — and what each position is good for.
You move when it protects what matters. You spot the downside others skip past, and you rarely lose what you've built. Teams need you most right before they do something bold.
Day to day. Day to day, you're the reliable one — methodical through change, checking the risks before the leap. Teams keep their footing because you thought about the downside first.
One thing to try. Pair with a chaser: your caution plus their push is a complete engine. Alone, check that protecting doesn't quietly become waiting.
Sometimes you chase, sometimes you guard — it depends what's at stake. That range is useful: you can speak both languages, the bold one and the careful one.

The chance of a gain moves you more than the fear of a loss. You bring energy and momentum, and you're often first through the door. Wins follow people who chase them.
Day to day. Day to day, your ambition is energy the team runs on. You push boundaries, chase the upside, and make bold feel normal. Keep a downside-watcher close.
One thing to try. Pair with a guardian: someone who watches the downside while you chase the upside. Alone, name your worst case before you leap.
